His career has seen him as a travel guide for a leading American adventure travel specialist, managing a hostel in the US, to many years as both a tour guide and driver for a leading Western Australian touring company. With an intimate and hands-on knowledge of the length and breadth of Western Australia, today Joe owns and operates West Coast Charters.
The company was founded on the principles of providing consistent first-class service to clients, whether they be residents of Perth looking for reliable, quality transport or travellers visiting this fabulous city of ours and looking to go exploring.
All drivers/tour guides have security clearance and are professionally qualified tour guides as well as experienced drivers. Our knowledge of the history, culture and social fabric of Perth and it's surrounds is first-rate - and we share this experience with our clients.

We used Westcoast Charters for a large corporate work function. Being the organiser I was quite anxious that everything ran smoothly. This service was extremely helpful in assisting me with recommendations of where to hold our function, arranging and meeting our needs of suitable vehicles as we were changing the size constantly. The driver was extremely helpful, professional and friendly and had a great sense of humour which the work crew enjoyed making our trip quite enjoyable. I must also say how nice it was to see the driver nicely dressed. The bus was immaculate and the driver gave lovely door service, he then walked our group to the venue and ensure we were all checked in ok before leaving. He then gave us his card with his contact details incase we needed to change the pick up time. used many times for weddings, private functions and airport pickups, recommended to friends and collegues who have used service, driver provided discount as we are regulars with his service, mother in law flew in from england, flight was delayed and driver reassured us he would still be there, all went well, pleasant and reliable service, very flexable to accomadate our needs, highly recommend
I recently hired a bus to take my friends to and from a concert. While the bus was clean and the driver did know where he was going, he was the most inflexible, rude and generally unpleasant driver I have ever met. He was 15 minutes late to pick us up, with no apologies. He had a meltdown when the group had more than 1 bag between us (13 of us going for a concert and picnic - we were always going to have more than 1 bag!). He did not collect us from the venue's "pick-up" area at the end of the event, instead telling us to hike out to the main road where it was convenient for him to park (not where he had dropped us off - that was a completely different area; our group had 2 heavily preganant women in it who weren't really up to a hike carrying gear), and then when we got lost trying to find him he had the gall to phone me and tell me he was going to leave us if we didn't get to him within the next 2 minutes and then berate us when we did arrive AND charge me an ...read more
