WEST JULIETT is the culinary equivalent of less is more and it made me fall in love with everything about the venue. If only I lived closer I would be visiting for a regular fix. Beautiful bubbly cafe in Marrickville. The atmosphere in the cafe is always relaxing yet exciting. The staff are great and always available to help. The menu has something for everyone and it is all delicious. All the menu items are excellent and made with high quality produce, making everything taste that much better. I have eaten and would recommend the following dishes; Granola, avocado on toast, pork belly eggs benedict and mushroom eggs.
A fabulous cafe in Marrickvile where the meals are restaurant quality. We were lucky enough to try a large selection of dishes including some new ones to be added to the menu. The house made granola with fruit and passion fruit curd tasted as delicious as it looked. For something different try the wild mushrooms on toast! The combination of mushrooms and the salsa verde worked perfectly and it's a nice change from the standard smashed avo. The green bowl here is my new favorite in Sydney and it is all to do with that salmon (tataki style). Even meat eaters will be loving this healthy option. The cafe offers an all day brunch menu but you will also be tempted by some of the lunch offerings - the Asian style barramundi was our top pick. On your way out grab yourself one of the massive in house made cookies - the pink salt choc chip is one you will get addicted to! Emerging in 2013, West Juliett Café follows in the footsteps of trailblazing Marrickville cafe, Cornersmith. There are plenty of greens on the plates, and a connection to hand-making in their offerings, including pastries and tempting baked goods. The deep verandah, supplemented by a large, airy dining room, gives it a real community centre feel, and locals flock to this grand, old corner store in droves.
Popped in here for lunch as I'd seen it on Instagram. It was cold outside so I sat indoors. A reasonably sized cafe and a large menu offering Breakfast/brunch and lunch options that include oats, Bircher, eggs, a breakfast platter (that I almost got), sandwiches and salads. Today I ordered the pulled pork salad that was a huge serving of nice juicy pork with a salad of herbs, beans, radish, fennel and apple. The salad was really fresh and it all worked together nicely. Also had a great coffee with latte art and a little carrot cake topped with icing, walnuts and rosemary. The wait staff were nice and service was extremely fast.
