Vietnamese eating-house West of Kin delivers a big flavour boost for foodies in Braybook.

Sister restaurant to the successful Kin restaurant in Chapel St (which offers traditional Vietnamese fare). The West of Kin menu offers Asian fusion cuisine focusing on locally sourced seasonal produce, all wrapped up in a ferociously fresh setting.

The location is unexpected and instils excitement with lots of greenery on the outside with calmer hues inside offering sanctuary and a palpable sense of hospitality.

The Asian fusion cuisine has roots in traditional punchy flavours combined with a healthy and modern philosophy to suit Melbourne's discerning restaurant market.

Located in a renovated warehouse, West of Kin offers Asian fusion dishes. It was quite easy for us to book a table on a Friday night. All of the Entree dishes was delicious but was small in size. When it came to mains, this was a disappointment. Small and pricey, expected more than what was presented on the plate. Overall, pricey, meals are ok, small portions but great vibe and friendly service. If you are after a big meal, be prepared to pay.

This well hidden place is definately worth visiting if you are in the area. It is new, modern, cosy and staff are really nice. However, their food are on the expensive side of the spectrum. You can expect an average brunch dish to cost between $18 to $21.

Had a fantastic brunch experience here over the weekend. We were taken by the beautiful green garden entrance with kris kris over hanging lights. We took our place inside to get out of the chill and ordered some lattes - which were beautifully done. We also tried the pork belly burger and the croquettes. Both were served with deliciously golden shoe strife fries. The staff were friendly, relaxed and attentive. I have recommended this place to others and they have not been disappointed.
