Unpleasant experience purchasing a new car through Westpoint Autos. Sales staff with- held information from us between models that had influenced us in purchasing the older model, only to find out from another car dealer the upgrades that Westpoint hadn't mentioned. They were more interested in getting rid of there old stock. Would not buy from them again!
Aftercare service are absolutly useless its Been over 3 weeks since first contact and all I have got so far a diagnostic done. Reception said they would call me with a time to get repair work done once organised with 3rd party. After a week I called them and all I got was "sorry I forgot" I'll sort it now and call you back. Still haven't got A call...
An absolute disgrace! Service non existent! To cut a long story short, we were advised to purchase an Engine Immobiliser for our Toyota Camry Sportivo which we did at a cost of about $500. Problem was when we had a fault with it and the RACQ staff who came to fix it told us that we already had an Immobiliser fitted to the car and so should never have been sold this in the first place!!!! I have emailed several times now and have barely had a response from the management. The last response was ' well you paid for it'! Despite trying to follow up with other emails, these have been ignored. I have been ripped of by this company for $500 and then $165 to have it removed. All this with complete dis-regard for what they have actually done. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE !!!
Picked up a new (ex Demo) Fiat 500 from the dealer in August and its now middle of September and I am still waiting for the log book, car manual and spare key! I was told 2 weeks ago by the sales staff that they had all been posted off to me. I have to initiate all the calls as they never call back even when you leave a message to do so and I have not managed to speak to any of the sales staffs as they cannot be bothered to call back - so all info from administration. They are typical sales people. One of the worst new car experiences I have had - don't waste your time with them.
We have experienced similar problems with this dealer, no return of phone calls even when I was promised a call and told to go elsewhere to fix problems, that should have been covered by a statutory warranty.
I visited Salters to look at a new Jeeps and the sales person was great. They were able to help with my questions and give me things to consider too. I was very happy with the experience and presently favouring the Jeep Compass but the Grand Cherokee 2wd looks tempting. I will be returning to Salters when I am closer to buying.
