To be honest, this is a really tacky little pub and I'm not sure how long it is going to remain, especially since they want to widen South Road. It is generally a quiet pub, but there is a really good reason for it – there is really no reason to come here unless you are a part of the regular crowd. I have been here a couple of times with friends to play a game of eight ball, but whenever we talk about it it is usually with some sense of distaste. It is not even that it is a classic pub because it simply does not have that charm. The front bar is pretty bland, and while there is a restaurant, it is not a place that I would ever consider having a meal. In the end there are much better places to spend my time, so I would probably give this place a miss.
Bar staffs at this pub are rude beyond belief how is it that they are still employed in hospitality it must be costing the management money!!!!!

Stopped here for lunch on a Friday. Ordered the $20 special Chicken Breast with cheese sauce and a Chicken Schnitzel and chips. After a 45 minute wait (not helped by the fact half the food warmers were covered because at 1pm they were empty - and stayed empty), was served chicken that wasn't completely cooked on a bed of lumpy, lukewarm mash. Period. All the sauces looked and tasted like the they came from jars - the cheese sauce bore an uncanny resemblance to Kraft cheese spread. The staff serving apologised for the wait but neither I nor my partner wanted to finish the meal and won't be going back.
