Public Bar....
When we were renovating we found those classic multi-coloured vinyl tiles under the carpet, under the tiles, under the carpet. And we almost kept them. It summed up what The Western public bar is all about A little bit party. A little bit old school. Plenty of serious business, with the potential for a break-out of fun at any minute.

Where the action / magic happens. With a brand new, state-of-the-art TAB facility. Catch all the sports action from around the globe. Racing. Football. The other football. Cycling. Equestrian. NRL. NFL. The list goes on.

Visited this hotel one chilly ballarat evening and was pleasantly rewarded with friendly,welcoming staff, and a lovely warm open fire. We were in the bistro, and that was full of great historic photos from bygone days. We ordered a main each and it was presented beautifully, delivered to us in a very reasonable time, and tasted magnificent. Prices were great, and reflected good value for wonderful food. I will be going back again. Thanks!
Full credit to Dan and the Western team for resolution of anomaly with ATM - like the fact that drinkers have their area and punters separate space. TV on Racing could have volume louder and attention needs to be paid to ensuring that all SKY TEXT TVs are working and displaying appropriate meetings. Top Effort - Cheers !!!!!!
