Westfield Burwood

I do love how the parking has lights now indicating a free spot. This is a bloody marvellous idea. Why don't other shopping centres do this?!

Apart from that I did a stop by to find a bookstore to get a few books that I'd totally overlooked in my Desdren series that I desperately wanted before I went away so that I could have a wizard packed weekend and I was on my way home from work.

Suffice to say, they had 1 bookshop. It was tiny. They didn't have what I wanted.

It was tiny! I don't understand tiny bookshops. Why?!

Maybe I'm spoilt with Galaxy, Kinokuniya and all the great ones along King Street.

So the stress of trying to find somewhere to park and getting through all those people for a fail bookshop was a bit sad face making.

Hence the 3 stars.

If I have to go into the d evil's playground, I prefer Burwood to some of the huger mostrosities. It has a cinema and a David Jones. Parking doesn't take an hour. I like that you can park here and whip out and explore the more interesting and culturally diverse main drag. I go whenever someone gives me a voucher I can't spend without visiting.

It is a decent Westfields and not the largest one around however it serves its purpose in Burwood. There is enough variety to keep you interrelated and the food court is decent. David Jones is the main department store here and they have both Coles and Woolworths. Car parking is usually pretty good here.
