I have been to a few restaurants since I moved to Sydney and must say that this is by far the best yet. The Louisiana chicken & sticky banana dessert were the standout dish’s. The service here was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back again soon.
Having been a loyal customer of wet paint over the years I was horrified to have experienced very poor and disgusting conduct last night. Attending the restaurant to celebrate my sister's birthday with my two children, a three year old and 6 month old, we were told by the waiter that customers had complained about our 6 month old baby. Our three year old had been completely quiet and my poor 6 month old made the usual stirrings of a baby. What sort of clientelle says this of a baby!? And what sort of waiter would speak to us this way. I was so upset. This is a restaurant that prides itself on being family friendly and one which serves its local community. I am still flabbergasted that people would say that about a baby. Perhaps they wanted us to muzzle the baby. The restaurant was so noisy anyway. Shocking.
This restaurant was disappointing from the word go. We had to wait 35 minutes before being able to order our meals and that was only because we stopped a waiter who was in transit to another table. This waiter (with a British Accent) was nice and accommodating and we were grateful to be able to order our meals.
The food when it arrived was average and the specialty "Cajun Chicken" was unimpressive ...
But the icing on the cake was to be told by another rude and arrogant waiter that we needed to keep the baby quiet ... this is in a restaurant that is soo ...read more
We've been going to this little gem of a restaurant for years now, and have followed it a few doors down the road to it's new home. Every time we've eaten there, whether it be just the 2 of us or with a small group, everyone always walks way raving about the food and the service. We've never had a bad experienc.
They only take bookings of small groups, but there is a private dining room for a slightly larger group that is available......... but be sure to book early!
There are also yummy cocktails on offer. Definitely a restaurant we like to visit to see what is new on the menu!
This restaurant has been providing really excellent dining experiences for a number of years. It has survived a change of ownership and still remained excellent, especially since its move to nearby premises a couple of doors away from its own home.
The menu is limited but imaginative and the quality of the food consistently good. The only criticism I have is that it can occasionally be very noisy if you get the wrong table. There is a little "private" area if you want to make sure your meal is quiet.
