Very disappointing. We should have listened to friends who have been there lately or the current online reviews BUT we gave them the benefit of the doubt and went for dinner. From the time we stepped into the restaurant we felt like they didn't really want to serve anyone that night. The meet and greet was very poor, our wine was ordered but we had to ask a second time to have it brought to our table. Our wait staff was the only pleasant thing that night. Was friendly and attentive unlike the rest of the staff. The food was very sub-standard -overcooked and bland and poorly presented. We should have followed our instincts and walked out when the 'host' pointed in the general direct of our table then walked off OR when we ordered wine and there was no attempt to actually serve us. The restaurant was quiet when we arrived but still there was a complete lack of service. Overall our special occasion was spoiled by very poor food and service.
Such a lovely venue although I was a little disappointed with the experience. We waited a good 15 minutes to be asked for our drink order after being seated. And my main from the special was rather bland - lobster pasta. Whilst cheap, in the $20 range, it was so lacking flavour, almost like a tin of Heinz soup for the sauce with no seasoning at all. The seafood tasting platter however was fine and a good amount to share before mains. The service whilst slow at the beginning was helpful and friendly once they actually got going. I would go again and just hope for something better!!!
