If you ever want anything form Whitfords I suggest you see Mel. She was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and organised and gave us some good advice. One got the feeling she was genuine in wanting to find the right air con for us, that she had no hidden agenda so we found ourselves not bothering to shop around. We were very happy with how efficiently and promptly she got onto everything from ordering to delivery and installation and we felt we got a good deal. She even followed up afterwards with a phone call to ensure we were happy with the end result. Thank you Mel for some rare, good old fashioned service and with a smile. I ordered a washing machine from this shop and also ordered and paid for delivery, removal of the old machine and installation. The machine was perfectly fine, the main problem was the delivery/installation person. He refused to remove or disconnect my existing washing machine, as he said that there was a problem with my taps, which there was not. He told me that I needed a plumber and also even told me that I needed to telephone the council to turn the water off to my building - at which point it was pretty clear that he had no idea what he was doing. I had to call a plumber to do the job and it cost me $140 - the plumber confirmed to me that there was no problem with my taps and said that anybody with any experience of installing washing machines would have known that. Having ordered online for an excellent price from the most popular whitegoods ordering site, I had to cancel the order when their delivery date turned out to be 2 weeks away. Whitfords had the same machine online for the same price and delivered it next day. I called up to be sure it was the right model and the staff bent over backwards to get a machine to me - even though they are inner west & I am upper north shore. Fantastic service.

Excellent knowledgable service, both over the phone and in person. We bought a washing machine from them after making enquiries over the phone. The person we spoke to was very helpful and gave us good advice about which brands were best. Once in the store, we were served by another friendly well-informed person. The delivery service was also good - prompt and efficient.
