I was very excited about getting my hair cut at such a smart and prestigious looking lace. New to the city, Wildlife Hair was strongly recommended to me by a close friend - who even gave me a voucher to get my hair cut for free. Now, it's been some time since I last had a proper hair cut and quite frankly I needed a restyle, so off I went with excitement and optimism...
Many hair salons like Wildlife hair can be pretentious, a little too cool and intimidating, but I can honestly say Wildlife hair was not like that at all. It is only fair that I follow up this review. Russell from Wildlife hair has been in touch and was extremely understanding and helpful. He seemed genuinely unhappy that I'd had such a poor experience and has kindly offered to sort out my hair, not something I either asked for or expected. I certainly cannot fault the customer service and I have decided, in about 6-9 weeks (when my hair has recovered from it's shocker!) to let them have another go after all lightening doesn't strike twice, does it?!
I have been a customer of Wild Life for almost 10years now - and that's probably a record for me! The reason I keep going back is simple - they are excellent at what they do. Whether it's colour, cutting or styling - I can honestly recommend the Wild Life team 100%. I notice a couple of negative reviews here, which disappoints me as I know how damn hard the team works to satisfy all their customers. If I have ever been less than perfectly happy (maybe once or twice over 10 yrs), they have addressed my issues at no cost. I think it's important for customers to also take responsibility for their 'briefings' ie. to be 100% clear on what you're looking for. At times, I've overheard other customers describe such vague directions that I sometimes wonder how the stylists even achieve what they do!!!
