This is sort of a zoo, but it is more focused on Australiana animals. However, it isn’t so much like a zoo because it tends to be more compact than your typical zoo. Still, I did really like it because it does go out of its way to give you a good view of many of the unique animals that Australia has to offer, and it also has a saltwater crocodile (colloquially known as a Salty) and seeing such a huge and menacing beast is a bonus.

We really enjoyed this experience. My favourite was walking into the butterfly enclosure. So beautiful to have them fly around in such close quarters and onto your body. The enclosure with the cassowary was lovely to watch also.

I love that Wild Life is not quite as tiring as the zoo spending the whole day walking for miles from exhibit to exhibit but there is still plenty of beautiful creatures to see. The cuddly koalas are the perfect posers for photos as well as the reptiles and birds. Professional photo ops are available for an additional fee or you can opt for a combo pass which grants access to both WL and Sealife at the Aquarium. There is a Gift store, food outlets, easy to maneuver walking paths and educational tour guides - a truly perfect day out for the whole family.

Super convenient location in Darling Harbour which you can get to by car (traffic can be intense and parking in the city is pricey), by ferry (King street wharf), bus or walk.

If you've only got a short time to spend in Sydney and want to see some wildlife, this is a good choice. But it has its shortcomings. Firstly, it's expensive - especially for the time you can spend there which is realistically only about 2 hours max. Secondly there isn't a lot to come close to, and those things you can touch (like the koalas) cost extra. However they do have a fair number of animals, the butterfly house is cool and the massive crocodile is...well...massive! There's better places to see wildlife but this one has the key of location and isn't bad - just not great in my experience.

Located in Darling Harbour this is an awesome place to visit.

It's a small zoo but there are loads of animals to see here.

Love the Koala, reptile and bird encounters - My friend and I got our photos professionally taken with the cutest python snake & Koala.

We were also just in time to see the Crocodile feeding. It was amazing to see Max the Saltwater Crocodile jump so high - He's over 5 metres which is amazing.

Looking forward to going back again.
