If I could give zero stars I would, we have a business in a shopping centre and we are held to ransome paying etremely high electricity charges as the system is embeddedn winconnect chan charge what they like without ramification, its about tme the governent stop this modern day theft, we are paying $1.66 per day conenction charge and 37c kwh charge.
As others have said, Win energy is an embedded network company so you often don't have a choice. However, be aware of hidden fees - I was charged a $35 'final meter read fee' when I ended my service - despite being on no lock in contract and giving plenty of notice. Apparently this was hidden in the fine print. $35 to automatically read a digital meter is ridiculous and clearly just a way to extort customers because they can. Steer clear.
Stay clear of this company they are 3 times as expensive as AGL and there competitors they promise discounts then retract on them have also recently changed there billing cycles to monthly instead of quarterly like all other providers, customer service is horrible and non existent.
Do not rent or purchase a property with WIN energy as the supplier. They have terrible customer service, their rates are higher then the retail price and they use unfair practices and contract terms.
Win Energy are an embedded network company.
They own the meters within the building not the normal local distributor.
As such you don't really have any other option but to go with them.
To choose another retailer you have to install your own meter at your own cost.
Their business practices and unfair and contrary to consumer law. I will be reporting them to Consumer Affairs.
