Windsor - The Hotel

Afternoon tea at the Windsor is a Melbourne institution but at the current prices and with the current offerings, I can't see it continuing as a tradtion. The cakes are fairly ordinary, to say the least and the choices are poor. At $89 per head per adult, you would expect better. The hotel itself is charming but not worth the $89.

I stayed at the Windsor hotel when in Melbourne last week. This has some real old world charm about it, which is a nice point of difference. The reason for my 3 star review is that I found the rooms themselves to be a little small and bathroom tired. Overall it was a pretty good experience though and the room service was very well priced which is a nice change to other hotels.
