I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for the last 10 years, and have had great success with suburban threading artists who run at-home beauty salons (and provide threading at less than a third of what Winkbar is charging). I have now tried Winkbar in Carindale on two occasions in the past couple of months due to my regular threading lady being on holiday. This place is a hit and miss, (and in my experience so far) largely erring on miss depending on who you get. On the first occasion, I was attended to by a lady (forgot her name but she was pregnant so is now on maternity leave) and my eyebrows were threaded a bit thinner than what I usually have, but the end result was still acceptable. I tried having my eyebrows threaded for the first time. The staff was extremely rough and hurried like I have never experienced before. It was very painful and I was terrified at the staff's hurried approach on my manicured brow area. Sure enough, staff managed to take a chunk out of my eyebrow and it looks absolutely terrible. I will never go back and will not be trying this method of waxing anywhere else after my experience.
