Improving Maths from Every Angle.I am an experienced VIT registered maths teacher who can teach all year levels of maths up to Year 12 Maths Methods, Specialist Maths and Further Maths. I also tutor IB Standard Level Maths.

I also have experience preparing adult students for Selection Tests eg. Police, MFB/CFA, Nursing and UMAT, ACER test and University students doing courses that require mathematics or bridging maths.
Price range: $55 - $65 per hour depending on Year Level or Exam. Shorter lessons can be arranged as well.
In home or at convenient location I.e. Library.
I also offer online lessons via Zoom.
Small groups possible.

The areas I work on to improve student's success at years 11 & 12 include: building confidence and a strong foundation in Maths, showing working out and written expression of mathematical thinking, how to work on extended worded problems and using CAS technology efficiently and effectively and preparing for exams and SACs by working on study skills such as summaries and notes.

My 12 year old daughter (year 7) and 9 year old son (year 4) have been receiving tuition from Selvi for some time now. Prior to attending tuition, both of my children struggled with maths, and I found that the standard of maths taught at their primary school was poor. Having started lessons with Selvi they both instantly started to enjoy maths and gained a better understanding of the subject. My children say that Selvi is very good at explaining things in a way that is easy for them to understand. I feel that the gaps they had in their maths at primary school have been filled by Selvi's teaching, and my children always look forward to going to the Selvi for tuition.
