Wok In A Box
A wise man once said "If you're hungry and don't really care if the food is tasty, come here". I'm now this wise man telling you this ;-)
Their serving sizes really are generous, we got 3 'small' boxes plus 2 sides and prawn chips and there's leftovers. It's unfortunate that there's leftovers though because the food was just lacking in flavour.
Out of the 3 we had, the Pad Thai was just noodles with some chilli plus peanuts sprinkled on top. The Satay chicken was more flavoured, but it didn't taste like any satay chicken I've ever had (and that's not a compliment). The Kwai Teow had mixed reviews from the family - I thought it had flavour but that flavour was a burnt flavour, the Mrs thought it was more af a pleasant flavour though nothing special.
The $2.50 prawn chips were nice, and the dipping sauce was nice. But really this was not a nice meal. Staff were friendly.
Where should I start. The family and I just moved to the area and thought it would be nice to get some take away. Decided on Wok in the Box and were happy to find we had one round the corner. But we will definitely won't be going back.
The place is a mess and appears unhygienic. The staff barely spoke english and were terribly rude.
Sorry guys too may options in the area to go back to you.
Haven't had wok in the box for quite a while but my partner was hungry sober popped in before we did our groceries, wish he coulda just stuck it out a little longer though - what we ordered was not really satisfying, unfortunately, I think because I know I could cook it at home nicer or get it elsewhere better. They do have quite a number of items and new ones too on their menu. It's quick and easy food, but taste/flavor, I know I can get the same dish somewhere else nicer.
