Wok King Bakery

A cute little "Bread Top" style bakery that's cramped into a tiny little space. Craving for a rice sesame ball with red bean curd satisfied!

Waldo you expect to get great coffee from a Chinese bread shop? No, I didn't...though surprise, surprise I did. HOT and strong in a large mug delightfully served to your table by staff who are friendly and ready to do what they can for you while at their establishment.



I couldn't resist having a Frankfurt roll, like a croissant hot dog, not bad at all. Youngster was enjoying a chocolate roll with HOT chocolate chaser and said it was one of the best HOT choco's ever.



Unfortunately the cakes that accompanied us home were somewhat bland, though with some ice cream they made OK bowl fillers for desert.



What was disappointing was the persistence of the neighbouring table believing i wanted my youngster to enjoy her first cigarette with her HOT chocolate. All in all a pleasant place to relax for a few moments have a coffee and watch the world go by.

This is not your usual run of the mill bakery. Well, it is if you're Chinese and am looking for coconut filled sweet buns or savoury buns and rolls. It does have tables outside so you can have a cuppa with your cake or savoury bun. My husband loves the coconut filled buns so he keeps going back. Worth investigating if you're in the area shopping.
