Whilst on a charity scooter ride we pulled into the Wonthaggi Motel as we could not get any further. I asked for rooms for 5 people, giving the motel the option of 3 in one room, but was advised by staff that only doubles were available. So we took 3 doubles. It was not possible to inspect rooms before paying as the keys were not made available until paid for. We then found that one room was a family room. On returning to reception, the member of staff admitted their mistake, but the management refused to help or come to any common agreement and told us to "leave if we didn't like it".... there was a storm outside!
It's a shame, as the rooms were comfortable, but the management's attitude ruined the experience.
