Woodpecker's Woodfired Pizzeria

I came back for a coffee in the morning the day after I arrived like I said I would do for a coffee... And YES, such an amazing coffee it was! Perfect temperature and so smooth! Excellent!!

After getting dropped off from one friend to another friends upon my arrival in Perth, I was feeling a little peckish. I was staying with a friend who lived right down the road from Woodpeckers so we decided to take a walk and grab a pizza for a late dinner. Woodpeckers was still bustling when we got there but soon as we walked in the lady advised us they weren't taking orders anymore as they were just closing the kitchen :( I asked if they would make an exception as I had just arrived in and was starving and heard good things about Woodpeckers and the kitchen gave a thumbs up and allowed me to order a pizza! Yay! They didn't disappointed - the pizza was out in a jiffy and in a takeaway box in my hand in less than 15 minutes! The base was perfect and the cheese toppings were really good, did find the eggplant pizza (got half/half toppings) a tad on the salty side though. Other than that, service and pizza was great!!

Lovely little restaurant, but very crowded. I think all on our table ordered some type of pizza and there were mixed reviews. Some had fantastic flavours, while others were rather bland. Mine was bland, unfortunately. Also, it was very pricey for a pizza joint! Will go back sometime, but only when it's not so busy!

This place has limited space for busy football days and isn't for the budget diner, yet the food is absolutely first-rate quality and their pumpkin & feta fettucinne is the best I've ever eaten. The range of pizzas is also great, but I keep going back for the fettucinne every time!
