This restaurant is pretty bad. I worked as chef for several weeks and I promise, Iif i were you, I never try any dish. Chefs don't wear gloves (they touch everything with their hands), they put on the plate food from the floor, aprons are very dirty, food is not fresh, etc. Any option is better than Woodstock.
superb coffees (including bonsoy available) $18 "morning hug with 2 poached eggs, smashed avocado with pumpkin seeds on sourdough, roasted tomato and rocket is super healthy (except for the bacon) and big enough to share. the S & P calamari salad is a bit light on $18 leaving you a bit hungry and the calamari is in rings and just O.K. will try the marinated lamb salad next time with pomegrante seeds. Juices and smoothies available. staff always friendly. last time we had sunday lunch there they didn't have the keys to open up the upstairs roof top area to sit in in the sunshine which I assume is a "one off". extensive menu. wish it was open for dinner! used to have a specials board too but does not seem to be here anymore but food available on regular menu is really good and the menu is updated regularly.
i stand corrected the best coffees in melbourne, love the smashed avacado and fetta, balsamic glaze, pumkin seeds, grilled tomato, 2 poached eggs on sourdough $19 super healthy as are the corn fritters, and pumpkin and poached egg breaky dish, lovely sitting outsdie on sunny days on street front or upstairs in balcony or small cosy area inside for rainy/cold days, no need to book on weekends, staff friendly and welcoming with young children
