Woolworths

Having a coffee shop at Woolies was a great find as was getting to know the young Baristas Jack and Vicky. These two people are charming,
pleasant ,and the reason we shop there. What a Shame to find Vic, is no longer part of that team.

Vicky will be greatly missed , but the coffee shop opposite will no doubt Flourish' Bring Vicky back!

Although the Woolworths is convieniant, the quality od the 'fresh' produce over the years has declined. Much of the fruit appears to have been frozen or has been in cold storage for quite some time. The texture and feel of the fruit also sujests it has been frozen. I recently also bought a bag of seadless grapes where the grapes on top of the bag were somewhat fresh and underneath was half loose grapes and half eaten bunches which were long past fresh and were thrown out imeadiatly.

I love having this Woolworths store close by. In a way it's *sad* that not many people seem to use the store (or the little centre, in general) but it can be a good thing as (when I am there) it's never crowded, and often if there is a *line* it's just 1-2 people long :-) I have always found the staff to be extremely helpful and polite, often one just walking by or putting food on the shelf will say *hello, how are you*. I can 99% of the time find the items I want to buy in stock, although the one *issue* I find is buying the Woolworths brown bread, it's usually not cooked/available till later in the day, while there is PLENTY of white bread on the shelves. Plenty of parking, finding a trolley is never a problem, and they have a Woolworths cafe on site for a coffee or cake :-)

I was so excited to learn that Woolworths would be opening a store nearer to us, and I was even more surprised to hear that it wouldn't just be Woolworths but BWS and other speciality shops. We had the pleasure of attending the grand opening and doing our first shop in the new store. It's extremely well laid out with a HUGE vegetable, meat and deli section, plus an in-store bakery. The staff are always friendly and chatty and there's that feeling of having shopped here *forever*. Hubby loves the fact that this store is only the SECOND Woolworths store in NSW to have it's very own coffee shop! He can grab a coffee while I go and shop, I love in the freezer/fridge section how the doors stay open while you're making your selection, rather than closing on your arm or body while you are trying to reach for something. The variety and range is amazing and I know I can find practically anything I need :-)
