As far as retreats go, this one was a lovely get away for us!
It's nestled in the mountains and trees, overlooking a lily pond. We had visitors of the possum variety as well as wallaby's and bush turkeys!
The lady looking after this place was just lovely and there was a morning delivery of breakfast items - which was totally non-intrusive!
It's a pitty that I got a furball (toncillitis) while up here though, spent the weekend in bed. However there's also a spa that overlooks the forest as well in the cabin which was lovely.
There is no "kitchen" so to speak of. There's an area where there's a fridge, kettle and kitchen items. However there's no sink or stove. There's a BBQ outside that you can cook on and there's also a sink outside that was used to clean your dirty dishes as well. This is the only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars.
