I can only agree with the several other terrible reviews of other Wynstan branches on this website. Wynstan in Melbourne have been an absolute joke to deal with. We made the mistake of ordering approximately $16000 worth of Crimsafe security screens and plantation shutters from these guys in December 2012. The short story is that one year after ordering, at least 12 installation visits that I can count, and 5 different installers, they are still not finished. We are left with one set of sliding shutters unusable and still requiring repairs, and another set unfinished and awaiting parts. The workmanship has been terrible in general including long delays while parts are reordered due to mismeasurement, and the customer service is appalling (with the exception of one staff from Sydney who has been reasonably sympathetic, but unable to help much). The company appears fairly dysfunctional from the outside, and they are an incredibly frustrating to deal with ...read more
It sounds like you have had a bad experience, but one would suggest you call them and ask to speak with Customer Service Management or send your letter above to Wynstan, instead of complaining on a forum. You may find by sending this letter to head of Wynstan they may respond and resolve as they are a big company with a good name in NSW. I have dealt with Wynstan both in NSW and Vic for my shops and really couldn't say a bad word. Over 7k of work done and apart from shop had incorrect measurements ( human error ) they were fast to rectify the problem and replaced in a week or so. Service was pretty good, product of good quality! If i was to recommend Wynstan i would. I suppose being a business owning myself, you do your best and if you fail which happens to the best of us , its about trying to improve using improved training measures and learning from mistakes. Hi Mal, actually I agree with what you are saying, but I hope its clear from what I wrote that this is not my first step in trying to get this resolved. Complaints get referred to customer service, not management directly. I've said all of this and more in phone calls and emails to customer service and given them plenty of opportunities to fix it (as I said, at least 12 visits and counting). After a year of dealing with them privately and still no resolution, I think it's perfectly reasonable to share my experience in a public forum. Thats what this website is designed for is to give people a chance to hear the experience of others before deciding on a company. It's not just that there have been mistakes (although there have been an unbelievable number of them), but its the way it has been handled that Im most upset about. Anyway, Ive had my say. Im glad to hear that some people have a good experience with them, but I certainly have not.
