I have been staying at the Y Hotel City South every week for almost three years. It provides a great room (not big but everything you need, quite new, very clean), breakfast and great service for a low price. For about the price of a pub room you get a small hotel room with your own ensuite and breakfast. If you are staying in Sydney, it is just a short walk south from Central Station.
