Yard Bird Ale House

This place was quite nice. I guess being off the main road does actually do that to a place like this, but it had a charming outdoor area, some decent beers on tap, and in a way, it was also rather quiet. Then again I was here earlier in the week, which is probably why it was quiet, but the thing is that I did actually quite like this place. It did have some real charm about it.

Great service. Wonderful outdoor seating. And some of the best wings you'll find in Brisbane.

OMG GUYS... THE WINGS. Please do yourself a favour and improve your life tenfold by hitting up the wings here. Caution... the hot ones are pretty hot. In my opinion, there is nothing better than a Sunday night with some wings and a pint - Yard Bird accommodates that brilliantly.

Was looking forward to trying this place out and on first impressions I wasn't disappointed. However after waiting for an hour to get our food I was starving. We ordered fries, chipotle wings and the big a..burger. The fries were simply awesome, the wings were of a good size and the flavour was pretty good. The burger was big, full of meat and tasty. In short it was a very good impersonation of American food. I will be going back to try their pulled pork burger.

We've been going to Yard Birds for several years now and each time we go, they always wow us with their delicious Americano style food. The wings are seriously amazing and we love that there are actually WINGS. The blue cheese sauce alone is enough reason alone to go. That aside, the burgers are all fantastic with light puffy buns and tender juicy parties. Usually, when you go to a meat lover restaurant, the salad is always a side show but not at Yard Birds, they do a mean salad. Even the humble coleslaw is so fresh, crunchy and the dressing.... Divine! Don't forget to order the Parmesan Fries and Sweet Potato Fries too --- they're Da Bomb! The only issue I have is that it can be difficult to get a seat so be prepared to go early or wait. Either way, it's well worth it!
