Yarra Valley Farmers' Market
Yering Station is a beautiful location and a fascinating place to visit anyway, but particularly so when the Yarra Valley Regional Food Group hold their Farmer's Market here thats on the third Sunday of each month. The gardens of Yering Station are lovely and theres ample parking - but please note it would be difficult to get here on public transport. Within the grounds is a historic homestead, now a hotel and the gardens feature interesting statues and lovely views. The Farmers' Market is easy to see, with free parking and entry. It brims with spicy aromas, tasty delicacies and hot snacks made as I watch theres lots of samples to taste too. All the producers are knowledgeable and welcoming. It's very easy to meander around. A path with stalls on each side leads me to the main pavilion - The Barn then out the other side, so I don't need to retrace my steps.
