Yarra Valley Wine Walk

A Yarra Valley tour with a difference. Connect with nature, enjoy an incredible walk in the Yarra Ranges before you wine and dine indulging in this beautifully picturesque region.

Yarra Valley Wine Walks was created with the desire to make accessible to all nature lovers, the diverse and beautiful region
that is the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges.
Walkers touring with Yarra Valley Wine Walk, will enjoy a unique experience of landscapes close to Melbourne's surburban fringe including Mountain Ash forests, shaley ridgelines bursting with seasonal wildflowers, stringybark forests, riverflats teaming with yellow Blackwattle blossoms to the European styled gardens planted by the pioneering enthusiasts of yester year in the Dandenong Ranges. All Yarra Valley Wine Walks begin with a safety briefing and introduction to the area. As we treverse through the local environs the aspects of the area become apparant. Wildlife spotting is sporadic and seasonal. In the past we have sighted koalas, rock wallabies, echindas, wombats, Eastern grey Kangaroos, lyrebirds, cokatoos, gang gangs, yellow tail cockatoos, rosellas, galahs, helmeted honeyeaters, finches, bowerbirds and blue tongue lizards.
Depending on which tour you choose, there are varying levels of degrees of difficulty relating to the walks. All walks have up and down gradients, none exceeding 25 degrees. Some walks have steps and we use fire trails that contain irregular terrain. During inclimate weather, trails may become slippery and your guide will make an assessment on the day as to the most suitable and accessible trail. Yarra Valley Wine Walks is passionate about the food bowl that the Yarra Valley has to offer. The focus of the forage walk is an educational oppurtunity to experience first hand the produce that can be sourced direct from the farms & orchard growers here in the Yarra Valley. All our tours have an emphasis on ensuring a fantastic seasonal food experience.
For our lunch experience, we partner diectly with reputable venues such as De Boroli Estate, Tarrawarra Estate, Levantine Hill, Meletos at Stones, Oakridge Wines, Coombe the Melba Estate, Yering Station to name a few.
