I waited an hour for lunch. I asked then for the meal for the three year old to be served before mine. I was told it was actually on the way. Fifteen minutes later I asked again at the desk, and it was apparent they were just putting the order through to the kitchen. I gave them a few more minutes, then with no action anywhere, not even a glass of water on the table, I left.
This was a birthday lunch. The staff are incompetent in the preparation and serving of food, which is a bit of a liability for a restaurant.
They are relying on the lovely gardens to get people in. Never again for me.
Don' waste your time, there are lovely places around the lake for a picnic.
The feed back is regarding Yarralumla Gallery & Oaks Brasserie cafe. Very sad experience.
Tried one of their entrees - it was awful. Felt greasy, the taste was awful - both bread and filling. Coffee is watery, tea is very cheap and not tasty. Finally when we payed we saw their kitchen closely - as it is near cashier - God we were shocked - multiyear filth on the floor, traces of sauces and different food stuff on the walls, garbage on the floor. What a shame and real shock! We felt sorry for people who worked there and for ourselves, being such the fools to go there. The most ridiculous thing is they price their food at a level of a good quality restaurant somewhere in Manuka.
Never Ever Again.
