The Nelligen Shop was first established in 1935 as a general store and has since grown in strength to strength as various owners put their touch on the business. I have owned the business not quite two years and have placed more emphasis on the food area. We have an awesome reputation for our fish n chips in Canberra and Sydney. We get the local trade for bread, milk, papers etc. and the weekend traffic of fishermen and tourists. We have a HUGE TRADE in the holidays as we are the destination point for Canberra residents.

We sell bait and tackle, ice, petrol and some groceries as well.

We are an established business with a great reputation and this business will only go on and on. Situated right across the road from the Wharf, we get the kyackers, houseboats, fishermen, and people picknicking in the park. The local ferry comes in at lunchtime every day of the year.
