Yin Thai on Victoria Street in Abbotsford serves a very authentic Thai cuisine that hasn't be australianised.
The dishes are all prepared with the best local produce and flavoured and spiced to your likes. The value for money is very good and the service is prompt and friendly.
Many locals found a restaurant on Yin Thai they always like to return to.
This has to be one of my all-time favourite place when it comes to Thai food. The food is probably is close as you could get to authentic thai, its spicy, fresh and reasonable well priced. I have been going here for a long time. The other day I popped in to pick up some take way, picked up a pad thai and a stir fry rice dish. Bit of a wait, which would be expected as they actually cook the dish fresh rather from a pre bulk pot which they would serve from. Its in an awkward location by the major intersection of Hoddle and church, but for those who know of this restaurant Im more than certain that you will be prepared to walk to get over to it. The only downfall is its a cash only premises, I still am puzzle how a business as busy as this can still function on cash only. Try coming in on a late Thursday through to Sunday night and the place is just packed out. There are dining seats both downstairs and upstairs.
