Description of practice:
Each yoga class commences with some body awareness and meditation practices, bringing people to a deeper place of presence and honesty (connection with their bodies) that is then expanded through gentle exercises. A space is created for a natural gentleness to return, releasing nervous system 'raciness', anxiousness and the often intense tension our bodies hold in our normal way of life. The quality of exercise offers a safe and enjoyable platform to efficiently stretch, strengthen, renew and deepen your well-being whilst providing a taste of how we could go about everyday living with a more honoring relationship with our bodies and ourselves.
All welcome. You do not need to be fit, flexible or even well* to attend. *If you have a medical condition, please get clearance from your medical practitioner prior to enrollment, or inquiry further.
Instructor: Alex is an experienced yoga teacher (as well as an Esoteric Healing and massage practitioner) dedicated to sharing with others a style of yoga that supports and cares for the whole of the body, whilst allowing people to explore their true gentleness and the deeper honesty and integrity it brings to everyday choices.
Investment:
$15 per class for a prepaid course (8weeks)
$20 casual (if space).

I have been attending classes with Yoga & Healing for over a year now at St Scolasticas. It is a wonderful class that truly helps me to unwind, relax, connect with my body and live life day to day in a more connected and happy way.
The grounds of St Scolasticas are beautiful - very green and many classes are often to the natural soundtrack of bird song.
Alex is a fantastic teacher who is not only very competent as a teacher, she seems to have the knack of giving each class exactly what we need that particular week for our benefit. Her gentle manner is an inspiration and her friendliness sees new people welcomed like old friends into this comfortable environment of yoga practice.
I can not recommend Alex's classes more highly, they are a truly grounding practice that enrich my body, mind and life!
