We went to renew our Prius, which had been insured with youi for a couple of years. Our teenager had learnt to drive in this car, and yes youi jnew about it. We bought a 1992 hyundai excel for the new liscenced driver and they were happy to insure it. So imagine our surprise when we were told that they would not renew the Prius because it was too much of a risk. Even the management could not understand the reason. So this decision cost them our house and contents and 2 cars. Plus we have convinced many people not to go with youi because contrary to their ad on tv AT YOUI THEY DON'T GET YOU
First of all the premiums were far from cheap but this is not the worst part. Wait until you have to make a claim. Their customer service is just shocking. The whole claim process has been so poor that once the claim is finally worked out (if ever) I will have aami take over the insurance even if its more pricey, at least with them they treat you well and make you feel like all will be taken care of. Joining Youi has been one massive mistake I made in my life.
First the good stuff...
* The policy price was very competitive.
* Most of the first-contact staff I spoke to were friendly and effiicient (most, not all!)
Now the bad...
