Cannot thank this company enough for donating their time, resources and man power to assist one of our women who is escaping Domestic Violence. Your Local Movers were extremely professional and sensitive during this move. This generous support has contributed to this families journey in living a life free of violence. For the children to know that they will have their belongings back and for mum to know that she doesn't have to totally start over again is a weight lifted off her shoulders. She can now continue moving forward with her children.
Beware - Two of THE slowest I have ever seen move. We moved literally a 4-minute drive away, and had done all the hard work packing the boxes and getting the furniture ready to carry out of the rooms. They took forever to pack the truck; they argued over how to load it, stopped for breaks, moved the furniture around in the truck some more. They dismantled everything and had no tools but a screwdriver which took a HUGE amount of time, even though one truck was half empty. I ended up having to stand in the yard and watch them cause we'd notice that they'd just disappear to the truck for huge chunks of time to chat and rearrange the load. They left furniture behind in the yard and then when we realized they never offered to go get it or even apologise. When spending over $150/hr I would expect much quicker work. When I called to complain about the missing furniture, took over 6 calls to finally talk to a management who was apparently "away'" and not willing ...read more
