I approached "Your local movers" on behalf of the organisation that I work for. The service that our client received was amazing, they were professional, on time, respectful, and worked hard for our client. I would refer individuals to this service having had such a great experience with their team of friendly, and helpful staff.
We regret that we chose them to move our 5-bedroom house in January 2016. They appeared to be completely unreliable, turning up to start work 1 hour late, then parking by mistake at neiboughers house and reversing back to our drive way for 15 minutes, stretching out the time. The hourly rate started at the time they left their depo (10 minutes away from us, but took them over half an hour to arrive).
They brough too small truck, although they knew about the size of the house, so they had to do 2 extra trips back to depo with one truck (couldntbring 2 trucks) resulting in job being finished much later and the total cost increasing much beyond the original quote. ...read more

- Our movers were only 6 minutes later and you were not charged 30 minutes from our headquarters to your home
- The truck that arrived is one of our largest vehicles and can usually fit an average 5 bedroom home
- When you booked with us originally it was from a referral from a storage company and we were only providing movers to load the storage at your home. There was no request from you for us to arrange storage for you at any point prior to us arriving at the storage facitlity and being told you have not booked with them and they couldnt accommodate you on the day
- We did not give you a quote for the or amounts your move would cost
- At the time of booking, it was clearly stated we are unable to move pianos more than 3 steps........
Thank you for response, Local Movers. We received a written quotation at time of booking which included the piano move 7 stairs up. That has been ufortunate experience we prefer to forget about. Will be moving again before Xmas and will look for other options that we rejected taking on your offer.

Quotation was easy over the phone and was booked in 2 weeks later. On the day of removal they were running behind schedule due to another house removal but gave us a call beforehand to let us know. The 2 guys that came were friendly and efficient and got the job done faster than we had expected (we did assist however) . Moving from a house to an apartment and the only real hiccup was the move into the apartment due to a tight staircase but all furniture and boxes were moved without damage. The price was competitive and we would use them again. We have referred to a friend recently who also used your local movers and also liked the service. Thanks again.
