Please be aware that when you ring these vets at a particular town another town may answer the phone. We rang Minlaton vet clinic to arrange for a urgent consult for our seriously ill dog, they said come in and we will look at the dog. We arrived at the Minlaton vet clinic to find it was closed. Rang the phone number for the Minlaton vet again to find that they were actually at Maitland, the phone must have been redirected. I had an emergency with my dog so this service is not good enough. I could not trust a vet to treat my dog that can not even tell me where they are. I raced back to Adelaide where my do was hospilised to 2 nights and is still recovering. A poor service from a veterinary business.
Hello Steve, thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately covering 4 clinics across 300km we do have to staff accordingly - but our emergency message on phones does say all afterhours are at Kadina, and when answering phones in branches we DO state which branch is answering (eg Good morning, YP VETS Maitland). It is unfortunate you did not hear the branch when you rang correctly. Maitland is half an hour from Minlaton and we would have been happy to still see you. Other clinics closer to you at southern YP are Corny Point Vets and also the Port Vincent Vet, however, people often are unable to get hold of those clinics either after hours or for emergencies. I am glad your pet is recovering and sorry for your experience. I shall make sure the receptionists know to stress which clinic emergencies call into, as at times of stress owners will not be listening carefully. I wish your pet a speedy recovery.
