I had read the reviews and from friends heard it was not good but being a Yum Cha fan just had to give this restaurant the benefit of doubt... I am sorry to say ... This was the worst Yum Cha restaurant I have ever eaten at in my life! I do not understand how they stay open for business, I will never be back, I felt bad handing over money after not getting anything close to what I paid for, the service was very poor eg. the pork buns tasted like they were three days old, the quality of food was very poor and the prices did not match what was being served. Bring on some competition we need a good Yum Cha place in Darwin.
This restaurant was a bit of a let down, the food was not very tasty, the place was packed, the service left a bit to be desired and we were given paper napkins, we paid over $120 for food that was of a relatively poor standard, the soups were ordinary, the rice was awful and gluggy and items we ordered, such as Chinese Tea did not even arrive. I am afraid I would have trouble recommending Yum Cha but have to admit I have not tried their weekend Yum Cha. The restaurant is conveniently located in Cavenagh Street near the Cavenagh Hotel and has a corridor for residents of the Metro. I would recommend Hanuman as a much better eatery for the same amount of money.
