I really enjoy their extensive menu of Japanese food options that it's almost too hard to decide. I would recommend their seafood udon which is a large hearty meal for those surprise cold weather days. Their sushi is freshly made and I love their tempura prawn rolls. For the sashimi lovers, the platter has a great variety of tuna and salmon.

I had a Groupon voucher which let me try a basket of tempura and sashimi platter with a bottle of sake. This deal was to share between two, which simply isn't enough food. However the two of us came prepared with a voucher each.

Came here before seeing a musical at capital theatre. The staff are friendly and well accustomed to people eating in a rush before a show. The food was good and the bento box was brimming with choices, spring rolls, sashimi, seafood stick, pan friend gyoza and more!
I had the 1 day special on $15 ribs and it was worth it. It was American style and not what you would expect to be served in a Japanese restaurant.
The cut of ribs was a little odd and I found it difficult to eat, but it was deliciously sticky.
Continuing my culinary journey at Capitol Square, I arrived at another spacious Japanese restaurant that appears to be quite vacant during lunch times on weekdays.
Yumei offers plenty of Japanese food offerings starting from salad, tapas (which basically means small serves), sashimi, sushi rolls, and rice dishes (including set menu and bentos). The price is little dearer than standard Asian cuisine offerings, with lunch specials (only three to choose from) at $10-$11 per dish.
