Pieter is a specialist portrait painter and landscape artist. His art experience commenced in The School of Den Hague tradition before his family emigrated to Australia in the 1960s.
Pieter has an impressive array of awards and accolades. His portrait sitters include high profile public figures and business identities. He is renowned for his animal studies and many of his commissions are to depict that special horse or dog. It is impossible to list the array of works and genres that Pieter has turned his deft artistic hand to. He has several published works and most recently has published his first Art Magazine. Entitled "Tales of the Atelier" it is lavishly illustrated and contains stories for both the art lover and art student.
A known raconteur, Pieter recently won the "Best Storyteller" award at the recent Northern Tasmania "Champions of Tourism" awards. ...read more
