dined here for sinner sat night, the duck with pears and beetroot was reasonably tasty but fettacine marinara was bland and tastless, dips didn't taste especially home made and weren't very inventive (tziaki, capsicum, etc) meals are presented nicely and they concentrate on good service, coffees still good, traditional syle restaurant with heavier type meals, prices very expensive for quality of ingredients etc. nice setiing with outdoor covered courtyard for dogs, etc
new cafe opened up near corner of warrigul road on toorak road open for breaky/lunch and dinner. we dined here for lunch one saturday and tried the soup of the day "creamy tomato with braised chicken" which was a bit tastless $9.50. we alos sampled the brushetta (tomato, pesto, basil, red onion, and parmesan) which was also a bit tasteless and expensive for amount toppings/size $9. the lamb sald we sampled was OK too and expensive at $19.50.white bread used is a bit disappointing.. $8 for cake slices is very expensive and alot more than usual. coffees good. i would like to congratulate the establishment and thank them for choosing to only use A2 milk, a fantastic inititaive for promoting a milk we all should be drinking as it so much more healthy/safer for you and the type of milk we used to drink long ago (A1 milk has been linked to type one diabetes and other auto immune diesases). this a more upmarket, large eatery with prices a bit expensive. outside ...read more
