Lotus Healing Arts is the clinical practice of Dr. Karen Bilton, Ph.D. (Acupuncturist, Chinese Herbalist, Physiotherapist), providing acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, physiotherapy in Potts Point, Sydney. With more than 20 years in clinical practice, Karen combines acupuncture and Chinese herbal prescriptions with manual techniques such as, Muscle Energy Technique, Craniosacral therapy and Bowen Technique for better results.
Registered to practice acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and physiotherapy within Australia and the USA; Karen has completed PhD studies and is co-author of the book Handbook of Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis published by Eastland Press. She is 1 of 16 certified instructors for Dragon Rises Seminars providing education in Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis.
With her diverse registrations and expertise in pulse diagnosis, Karen treats a range of often complicated conditions with a combination of her skills. Karen also has lectured at Chinese medicine colleges, conducted research, authored publications, presented at international conferences and maintained her professional education.
Gaining much of her clinical experience while working and studying in the USA, she is trained in both Chinese medicine and Osteopathic manual medicine techniques that have their origins there and are less commonly practiced in Australia. Following 14 years based in New York City, Karen recently relocated Lotus Healing Arts Sydney.
