Zoromak is a collective of musicians and educators who strive to make Australian artists and their music more accessible to teachers and students.
We work with the artists themselves to create easy to use teaching aids and lesson plans which relate to the music.
The artists are interviewed by one of our educators making sure we work together with our approach to the music and we involve the artist in the writing of their package to ensure the activities are true to their style and art form.
Our packages contain lesson plans, workshop ideas, scores, work sheets with answers, play along CDs and arrangements of pieces suitable for school ensembles. They are suitable for classroom situations but can also be used by students studying on their own.
The lesson plans and exercises in both packages are suitable for students within the range of 12 to 18 years of age. There are class and individual exercises throughout the packages. Regular music educators for the above ages should find the material east to understand. all of the material is intended to enhance appreciation for different musical styles and concepts through listening, performing, moving, composing and improvising. The packages include 2 CDs and one teachers manual. Purchasers will find listening exercises and ensemble pieces. There are recorded loops to be given to students to work with on their own and arranging and composition exercises with easy to follow instructions.
