As a non-profit community inclusion organisation, annecto works with individuals and families requiring advice, advocacy and support at all stages of their lives.
We operate from a social inclusion and human rights perspective, to assist people who experience disability and ageing with their families to participate in their community. We do this by providing practical assistance and flexible planning to reach personal goals in their life in areas such as work and education, health, interests and hobbies, home life and important social connections with family and friends.
annectos inclusion principles ensure that our focus remains on assisting communities to address a range of issues to improve economic, environmental and social resilience along with community education to promote inclusion.
Founded on several grassroots community organisations active over the past 50 years, annecto was formed in 2004. The founding of annecto by the parents and carers who were committed to
making a difference in the lives of the people they supported has manifestly influenced our approach and work. It influences our commitment to work with the broader community.
