Dr. Anna Morrow is an osteopath and a yoga teacher, currently practicing from Orange in NSW.
Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine, which uses hands on techniques to address a wide variety of injuries and pain related complaints. Osteopaths focus on how your skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulatory system, connective tissue and internal organs function as a whole body unit.
Conditions commonly treated by osteopaths include, although are not limited to:
- lower back pain, sciatica, disc bulges
- mid back and rib pain
- neck pain, headaches, jaw pain
- muscle and tendon injuries- sporting injuries, repetitive strain injuries/tendonitis
- ligament injuries- sprains/tears
- scoliosis
- postural problems
- digestive problems
- breathing dysfunction
- pregnancy related complaints
- paediatrics- feeding difficulties, reflux, 'flat spots', developmental delay
Each injury is unique, so osteopathic treatment will vary from person to person. Techniques include massage, joint mobilisation, joint manipulation, stretching, visceral technique and craniosacral technique.
Osteopathy is a safe and gentle form of treatment appropriate for all ages- from newborns to the elderly.
Anna teaches both private and group yoga classes. Classes are Vinyasa Flow style, based on the Ashtanga method. The practice is flowing and dynamic, with an emphasis on the breath. All levels are welcome.
