Melanie Sharpe, is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Nutritionist (AN) with a Bachelors Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics (Newcastle University).
Melanie is passionate about nutrition and holistic health for both the individual and community. Her personal career objective is to improve the health of individuals and communities through evidence based nutrition education to enable and empower them to make healthy changes through personalized nutrition information and change to develop healthy environments.
Melanie is a member of the Dietitians Association of Australia and takes part in the continual professional development program to ensure her knowledge and practice is up to date and in line with national recommendations. Melanie has a particular interest in Diabetes care, and in addition to working with ATUNE, Melanie is undertaking post graduate studies in Diabetes Management (Curtin University) throughout 2012. Melanie hopes to complete her Masters degree in Diabetes management to achieve further qualifications as a Clinical Diabetes Educator. Melanie also especially enjoys working in the areas of weight management and dietary intake to improve heart disease.
Melanie works as part of the Atune Health team, a multidisciplinary health care centre that is client centres, combining alternative and main stream health therapies for optimum results for the client.
