Phoenix Restorations was established in 1999 by Glyn & Julie Evans.
Phoenix Restorations offers a wide range of specialist services for the individual, small business and insurance companies. These services include antique furniture restoration and conservation, design and manufacture of bespoke/custom made furniture and kitchens. Based in South Gippsland on a country property with views of Wilsons Prom National Park, the business section of the property is comprised of two buildings totalling over 270 square meters with studio, workshop equipped with industrial wood working machinery and storage areas
Glyn was born in the United Kingdom and studied Art & Design at Yeovil Collage and BA in Fine Art at Portsmouth University, he then trained in antique restoration with David Sellers at Cannon Court, Somerset. He moved to Ireland in 1981 and began his own business, Country Pine Antiques, Skibbereen, Co Cork, specialising in the restoration, retail and export of antique Irish pine furniture. Glyn emigrated from Ireland to Australia with Julie, his Australian wife in 1998, setting up Phoenix Restorations shortly after. The business is kept busy with plenty of restoration work and commissions for bespoke furniture. We offer fixed price quotations and all workmanship is guaranteed. Before any work is commenced we discuss the full range of restoration/conservation options with our clients.
Our bespoke design service places the emphasis on the quality of construction, design and materials. At the same time we also consider the client's requirements which are an essential aspect of the collaboration process, enabling changes to be considered before the project commences.
A fee is charged for the design service but is refunded against the total if the project is commissioned.
