Balfours' origins date back to 1853 when Margaret Balfour and husband John Calder began baking and selling biscuits, pastries and cakes in South Australia. Today Balfours' traditional recipe pies, pasties and sausage rolls, custard tarts, donuts, frog cakes, Kitchener buns, vanilla slices and many other delicious treats, are sold throughout convenience stores, sporting venues, schools and supermarkets.
Owned by San Remo Macaroni Group since 2008, Balfours has bakery sites in Dudley Park, South Australia and Milperra, New South Wales, and both are accredited to the international quality standard ISO9002 and HACCP.
Balfours has a dedicated customer call centre and delivers to all metropolitan areas. Balfours is committed to continuous new product development, with all products made to a consistent standard from the highest quality ingredients by a team of qualified pastry chefs.
Balfours is synonymous with AFL through the Balfours Showdown events in South Australia. Balfours also sponsor many of the SANFL football clubs, and maintain a commitment to supporting the local community who have supported them.
