The Old School Country Retreat in Rye offers fine food, warm fires, good books and a piano - making the retreat a return to life's simple pleasures. Set on three and a half acres amidst trees, roses, gardens and ponds an atmosphere is created that encourages relaxation.Margaret has built a reputation for her food and offers a seasonal menu, with influences from Belgium, the Mediterranean and Asia.The Old School won an award of Distinction in the 2000 Capital Country Awards for Excellence in Tourism.Pets do not live at the school. Laundry is available for guests' use.
