The house itself is positioned as such that it takes in a commanding view of the 285 acre property from the East facing front verandah, the absolute perfect spot to sit with an early morning cuppa and watch a glorious sunrise. The Bed and Breakfast accommodation consists of four bedrooms, three of these being queen rooms, two with your own personal verandah access, and a twin room with two king single beds. There is an open plan lounge and dining with views over the property and access to the verandah. There are full tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge and microwave. There is a guest chill out area with wicker style lounge, electric outdoor heater and large gas BBQ. Guests have access to the entire property, excluding of course the owners residence. Explore the property and its natural beauty Hiking - Morton National Park (Wog Wog entrance) is a 10 minute drive. Walks to the mountain summits offer magnificent, panoramic views of the rugged cliffs & gorges of the Budawang Ranges. Enjoy the sunrise off the verandah Partake in a glass of wine while watching the sunset at the back of the property Laze about the house and just enjoy the tranquility Enjoy a movie - we have a great stock of DVDs including kids movies Read a book (there is a huge supply!) - you may even come across our secret little outdoor library whilst exploring - if you start a book please feel free to take it home with you! Explore Historic Braidwood - 30 minute drive Watch for the local birds,spot a wombat, echidna or spy on the kangaroos - we have a white kangaroo on the property, if you are very lucky you may spot him! We can do a cooked breakfast (weekends only) or continental breakfast, in house dinner can be arranged Mon - Thurs only,and specialty hampers are also available by request, but must be arranged well in advance. Araluen Old Courthouse Bed and Breakfast was built in 1861 circa in the gold rush era. The Courthouse has original courtroom, police room, prisoner exercise yard and two goal cells all now guest facilities. Two of the goal cells are now bedrooms and they can accommodate families in the original quarters of the resident policemen. Each of the guest rooms has a private sitting room and en suite. Spa under the stars, cool off in the pool after that game of tennis, relax in the garden or in front of an open fire in the old courtroom. All this with views of the beautiful mountains surrounding the valley. A cooked breakfast is included in their daily tariff, and it is served in the original courtroom or on the verandah overlooking the garden. Arrangements can be made for dinner at the courthouse.
