Golf by Design was founded by James Wilcher 14 years ago. James is one of the industry's most exciting designers, with over 26 years experience creating spectacular courses in Australia and Asia.

Before founding his own highly successful design consultancy, James Wilcher worked as Greg Norman's lead designer in the Asian region for almost a decade. Through this association, James amassed an extensive and diverse design portfolio working on prestigious projects in Indonesia, Australia, South Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, China, India and Japan.
James Wilcher has also completed projects with Nick Faldo, Ian Baker-Finch and Graham Marsh.
James Wilcher's unique experience of collaborating with several of the worlds golfing greats has imbued him with enviable insights into the subtleties and nuances of golf from different champions perspectives. At the same time, the exacting requirements of these high profile projects provided a diverse canvas on which to refine and perfect his technical and project management skills ensuring they are of the highest standard and thus able to deliver an in - built advantage for any golf course development.

Redesign and Construction Supervision of the 8th hole. Completed Master Plan for upgrade to the entire 18 holes.
�¢?�¢ Mt Broughton Golf & Country Club, Australia Master Plan and thence redesign for the entire 18 holes.
Muirfield Golf Club NSW, Australia Commissioned to Master Plan layout changes to overcome planning, water storage and safety issues. Also engaged to detail design several holes.
